With a view to take a review of the Crime position vis-à-vis theinvestigation work of Crime Branch, Jammu during the year-2019, a Crime reviewmeeting was held by Sh. M.K. Sinha-IPS, IGP Crime Branch, Jammu at Zonal CrimeHeadquarters Crime Branch, Jammu on 01-01-2020. While appreciating thegood-work of investigation conducted by the IO’s of Crime Branch, Jammu duringthe year 2019, thrust was laid on exploring the scope of investigation ofcriminal cases on scientific and other modern methods of present times.  The IO’s attending the meeting weresensitized to the issue of importance of technology in the investigation ofcrime on scientific lines and orientation of IO’s in developing skills for thatpurpose.  The other issues that came tofore in the meeting include Cyber Crime Investigation and Cyber forensics,Mobile forensics, Economic offence, NDPS, Homicide, Role of Canines andPhotography in the investigation. etc.  The other officers presentin the meeting were Sh. Shailender Singh, SSP Crime Branch, Jammu, Sh. AftabAhmed- SSP Staff Officer to IGP Crime, Sh. MaroofManhas, DDP CHQ, S. BhopinderSingh CPO Crime Branch, Jammu, besides other IO’s of the ranks of DySsP,Inspectors, SI, ASI’s and other staff.
